And we have been busy in our dungeon basement workroom. These orders are ready to go.
Here is how gift giving works in our store…IT’S PERSONAL…and we have been having fun tailoring gifts for your friends and family. One customer celebrated wedding and birthday events in Provence and Tuscany, thus we put together a selection of items from both those regions.
Descriptions welcome of the recipient, what they like, where they live, how much do you want to spend? In this grouping above, a perfect gift to a best friend that loves to cook, recently went to Spain, and loves the adventure of trying new things: Hojiblanca EVOO from Spain, balsamic pearls, fig ball, set of 6 artisan salts. A family gift: includes pasta and sun dried tomato pesto. For the boss: the trophy item is the award winning aged balsamic vinegar in a beautiful bottle along with smoked maple syrup with the recipe to use with bourbon. The baker: lemon EVOO, blood orange EVOO and raspberry balsamic along with smoked brown sugar including the Genius Food 52 Cookbook.
Many gifts include the newest product arriving this week- Yummy Whipped Honey with Cinnamon. Perfect on your toast (if you are still eating bread). Or try tea or yogurt…
Everyone throws away packaging, but no one throws away beautiful ribbon. It is the accessory that keeps on giving. A selection from Studio Carta from Italy adds the finishing touch in the colors of the season.
And then there are the unpredictable new items to spark enthusiasm…
From the fall harvest Winter Ambrosia Vinegar that has the addition of pears and cinnamon and apples. Interesting that Nuovo Vinegar is now competing with the class of Nuovo wine and Nuovo olive oil…first press of the season. Artisan crafted, and drinkable as a healthy addition to your diet in the morning or with a gin mixer in the evening.
Adding the layer of goodness to the store in the merchandising. The subtle addition of bows and abundance is a subliminal trigger for buying…
And then there is the unpredictable. We can buy anything we like…because we can…and offer them for sale. From Hatch, New Mexico…where all the peppers are grown, they are drying in the store and represent good luck and welcome to your home. $35 to you!!! To decorate your kitchen and use for cooking too. In the SW they are nailed next to your front door. Don’t try that here, I know from personal experience in our climate they get moldy.
How cute are these…again unpredictable…you won’t see these on the floor…no room…so ask for them- I guarantee they will make you smile.
Now isn’t that fun? And isn’t that the point…We are having fun so you should too!
As I always said…if you’re excited, jazzed, have high energy, can’t wait to get to work, and love the pressure…you have to be in retail in December! Hope to see you in the store soon.
